Memories

Had a great weekend last week. I met with my good friends during my uni days. We attended our friends' wedding dinner at Lee Garden.
Never even realize that I really miss my friends and the care free days.
We had a sort of mini-reunion, the best of friends during our uni days are back together again. The last time that we had the same number of people was in 2002, during our graduation. We had some other reunions before that but there were some of us that could not make it on the few occasions. So I was really happy that we could be back together again, reminicing about our uni days. And talking about nonsensical things all the time. Somehow the song Graduation seems to fit in nicely.

It certainly bring back a lot of memories. Some that have already been forgotten. And some memories are best left forgotten.

Ps: I would like to thank Pei Ye, Wendy and Anita for their time in Kuching. Hope to see you all again. Thanks!!

A Tribute to the King of Pop

It has been a week since the news broke out. I can't believe it. Somehow I feel like he would make a comeback...

Anyway here is one of my favourite song from him. I even like the video game of his.

Nobody can claim so many moves that can be identified with them, except for the King of Pop. The dance, the moonwalk and the anti-gravity lean, all are trademark of his.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Went to watch Revenge of the Fallen last Friday. I would give it a rating of 8 out of 10.

A lot of thing baffles me.
1) One of the most glaring thing is that the Decepticons have a much more advanced technology than the Autobots. I like Soundwave though in the original Transformers, he was a radio player with lots of cassettes that can transforms into animals. But now he is a spymaster. Can't even see him transform.

Then there is the nanotechnolgy used by the Decepticons. One example is the ability for the Decepticons to mingle with humans. I wonder why Autobots can't do that.

Then we can see the nanites are being used to steal the All-Spark fragment from the base.

2) Then there is the matter of reviving Megatron using the All-Spark. As soon as he got the All_Spark, Megatron lives again without any injuries. Why dont the Autobots use the same thing for Optimus Prime? Even when he got the Matrix of Leadership, he still need help from Jetfire to become stronger... Sigh...

Lots more of things to comments on but then it is just a movie. So just sit and enjoy it without thinking too much. Then it is a gjavascript:void(0)ood movie...

Mukah to Sibu

Reach home around 9pm yesterday. Started our journey at 5pm from Mukah. We hope to go over the treacherous road before dark. But we did not make it. It was raining and the road became more difficult to drive. Saw a snake. The Ibans called it Ripong. Its looks like a python, but it is much much shorter and fatter. The snake should be larger than my thigh but about 1 meters long. They said that the snake is delicious.
Plan to stop and take the snake but our car was full.

Then there was something got stuck on the wiper. At first I thought it was a leaf. but it was moving so I thought it was a moth. When the wiper stops moving, only then I saw that it was a bat. Luckily the bat was not dead and it flew away when the wiper was stopped.

Anyway I bought some umai back home to Sibu. RM 10 per container. Then plus another RM 3 for the sambal. Also bought some keropok and tabaloi.

After taking my bath and dinner, I went back to sleep. Slept for 12 hours straight.
Never felt so tired in my life. Today also a bit tired. Luckily felt a bit better after my badminton game.

Mukah Workshop trip

Went to Mukah today with a friend. The trip took almost 4 hours. The road to Selangau is ok. Just that it is a 2-lane 2 way road. So if any car is slow, there would be miles of car behind. No wonder there are lots of accidents happening on that road!!

Who is to blame for all the deaths?

Anyway the trip from the Selangau junction to Mukah town is even worse. The road are full of potholes and rocks, and a lot are bigger than bricks. Can't go more than 40kmph. For a car, can't use more than the third gear. Saw some coals on the grounds too. Visibility on some part of the road are less than 5 meters because of the dust.

We started our journey from Sibu around 2.30 and reach Mukah town at around 7 p.m.

ATLANTIC STARR - I'll Remember You

Words have left us all alone
And something's come between us
To turn the fire cold
Thoughts that chase you in the night
Silently the storm
The life from in your eyes
And I remain alone, no matter who
may try and take your place

CHORUS:
And I'll remember you
The dreams we could of dreamed
The tears I should have seen
We used to say forever
But I'll remember you
Your pure and simple heart
Your shadows painted dark
I will always love you
I'll remember you

Summer rain to fallen snow
We knew that it would last
But there's no way to know
It's such a storm that's in the sky
quietly will pass, quietly we'll cry
And here I stand, alone with every
promise melted through my hands
(Chorus)

Oh, and I remain, alone no matter
who may try and take your place
(Chorus 2x)

I'll remember you....
I'll remember you.....
