Outcast

God Help the Outcasts

Just a midi file

Felt different from the rest.. Somehow doesn't feel like I fit in. Dont feel like I fit in anywhere. Felt like an outcast...

I don't know if you can hear me
Or if you're even there
I don't know if you would listen
To a humble prayer
Yes I know I'm just an outcast
I shouldn't speak to you
Still I see your face and wonder
Were you once an outcast too?

Black Magic?

Something funny happens this afternoon. I went for an afternoon nap. Then when I woke up it was quiet dark... I was like "Oh s***, It is bright already and I'm late for school!! Then I check the time and it was 5. Then I thought it is still early, why it is so bright outside????? " After quite a number of seconds I realize that it was evening. And I just took my nap. Hahaha... I guess I slept heavily. Not napping...:)

Anyway someone dear to me told me that she felt that she was under black magic. I don't believe in that kinda stuff but I felt protective of her. Felt like shielding her from all that could have hurt her. This song by Phil Collins came into mind.

Come, stop your crying, it will be all right
Just take my hand, hold it tight
I will protect you from, all around you
I will be here, don't you cry

For one so small, you seem so strong
My arms will hold you, keep you safe and warm
This bond between us, can't be broken
I will be here, don't you cry

'CAUSE you'll be in my heart
YES, you'll be in my heart
From this day on, now and forever more

You'll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You'll be here in my heart, always

Why can't they understand the way we feel?
They just don't trust, what they can't explain
I know we're different but, deep inside us
We're not that different at all

Don't listen to them, 'cause what do they know?
We need each other, to have, to hold
They'll see in time, I know
When destiny calls you, you must be strong
I may not be with you, but you've got to hold on
They'll see in time, I know, we'll show them together

Always, I'll be with you
I'll be there for you, always, always and always
Just look over your shoulder
I'll be there, always.....

The serenity prayer...

Feeling down recently... I need a prayer and this prayer comes to my mind.

The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

I Asked God

“I asked God for strength that I might achieve.

I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.

I asked for health that I might do greater things.

I was given infirmity that I might do better things.

I asked for riches that I might be happy

I was given poverty that I might be wise.

I asked for power that I might have the praise of men.

I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life.

I was given life that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing that I asked for, but everything I hoped for.

Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.

I am, among all men, most richly blessed.”

I asked God ...

I asked God to take away my pain.
God said, No.
It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No.
Her spirit was whole, her body was only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.
Patience is a by-product of tribulations, it isn't granted, it is earned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No.
I give you blessings, Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.
You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.

I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as he loves me.
God said... Ahhhh, finally you have the idea

Welcome 2007

Tomorrow is going to be the start of a new school session. Sometimes I dreaded of the thought of going back to school. The pressure to make the best of your students no matter how unteacheables they are. The expectations from the parents, teachers, students and ...

Anyway yesterday i was blogging halfway when my laptop suddenly went blank. So have to continue today. Was blogging about the old year and the resolution for the new year. Many things had happened, some good and not so good. Few songs flowed into my mind at this time. One is the Auld Lang Syne.

In any case, it is one of the best known songs in English-speaking countries, and it is often sung at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Day. Like many other frequently sung songs, the melody is better remembered than the words, which are often sung incorrectly, and seldom in full.

The song is commonly accompanied by a traditional dance. The group who are singing form a ring holding hands for the first verse. For the second verse, arms are crossed and again linked. For the third verse everyone moves in to the centre of the ring and then out again. Not that I know how to...:) Just something I got from wikipedia. Here's the lyrics for the song:

Auld Lang Syne

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and auld lang syne ?

CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

And surely you’ll buy your pint cup !
And surely I’ll buy mine !
And we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

CHORUS

We two have run about the hills,
and pulled the daisies fine ;
But we’ve wandered many a weary foot,
since auld lang syne.

CHORUS

We two have paddled in the stream,
from morning sun till dine (dinner time) ;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.

CHORUS

And there’s a hand my trusty friend !
And give us a hand o’ thine !
And we’ll take a right good-will draught,
for auld lang syne.

CHORUS

Went for countdown at the Sibu Gateway with my mom and cousins family on the 31st. Nothing much except scores of people and a few fireworks. Of course a few speeches which I doubt anyone listen to. Definately not me.

Badminton

Just finish playing badminton this evening. My performance was horrible. Maybe it is because of the flu. Right now can't stop sneezing with runny nose. But that is no excuse...

Have to play more but the most I can do is just play once a week. Don't think it is the ideal way to exercise but it is the only time I and my friends have. Most people recommend exercising for at least 1/2 hour per day, 3 days a week. Maybe I should take up swimming.

Going to call my sis after this. Haven't called her for a few weeks.
