Anyway yesterday i was blogging halfway when my laptop suddenly went blank. So have to continue today. Was blogging about the old year and the resolution for the new year. Many things had happened, some good and not so good. Few songs flowed into my mind at this time. One is the Auld Lang Syne.

In any case, it is one of the best known songs in English-speaking countries, and it is often sung at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Day. Like many other frequently sung songs, the melody is better remembered than the words, which are often sung incorrectly, and seldom in full.

The song is commonly accompanied by a traditional dance. The group who are singing form a ring holding hands for the first verse. For the second verse, arms are crossed and again linked. For the third verse everyone moves in to the centre of the ring and then out again. Not that I know how to...:) Just something I got from wikipedia. Here's the lyrics for the song:

Went for countdown at the Sibu Gateway with my mom and cousins family on the 31st. Nothing much except scores of people and a few fireworks. Of course a few speeches which I doubt anyone listen to. Definately not me.

Today is Christmas Eve...Just wanna wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!

Badminton

Just finish playing badminton this evening. My performance was horrible. Maybe it is because of the flu. Right now can't stop sneezing with runny nose. But that is no excuse...

Have to play more but the most I can do is just play once a week. Don't think it is the ideal way to exercise but it is the only time I and my friends have. Most people recommend exercising for at least 1/2 hour per day, 3 days a week. Maybe I should take up swimming.

Going to call my sis after this. Haven't called her for a few weeks.

Chocolate & Knowledge

Having chocolate my father bought last trip. Delicious!! Never seen the brand Andes though...
Don't care cos I love chocolates!! The texture of it melting in your mouth, with some crumbly feeling. :) Nymmmm..


Actually want to write about the experience after teaching the school children. There's a sense of satisfication when the students told me that they learn a lot from the seminar that day. For me knowledge is the most precious thing anyone could have. And give.

Pity those who doesn't value knowledge. And respect those who does.

Updates

Got the break I need. Somehow 7 days in a week seems so short.

Wednesday:
Submited the long overdue assignments. In the evening went to TM meeting until roughly 9.40 pm. Then rushed to watch Casino Royale with Kevin and Dr Chen. There are quite a few time when I expected it to end but didn't. Just when you wanted to watch more, it suddenly ends. My ratings for Casino Royale : 6 stars out of possible 10, considering the plot, effects and gadgets. Reached home at almost 1 am.

Thursday:
The next day helped to teach some primary school kids to surf the net. Showing them how to use the browser, creating emails and looking for infos. Couldn't help to teach them how to look for games. :) This is a nice site featuring a lot of simple flash games.

Friday:
Today went to survery the computer lab in SMK Bandar Sibu. 20 pcs with 15 working pcs. Slow internet connection. Don't know how I can surf the net on Monday with 15 other students. But beggars can't be choosers.

Dreams and Science

Had a strange dream last night. Saw a lot of shooting stars. Assumed that it was the Leonids meteor shower. The strange thing was that the shooting stars were going upwards, then falling back to the earth.

Reminded me about the physics exam I saw last night...
Calculate the maximum displacement,ν at max s which is 0, velocity of the meteors just before it hits earth and etc. A practical problem to solve..

It is late in the afternoon now and forgot all the details of my dream.Don't know what the dream meant but must keep a dream diary. Just that everytime I woke up, have to rush to school. No time to sit down and reflect on my dreams. Dreamt that I was told a 4-D number.

:) No... I don't buy the number. Forgot the number already. Even if I could remember the number I'm not buying. I believe in science of probability, in this case I have a 1 in 10000 chance of getting the first prize.

Talking about 4D. Planning to calculate the chance of winning the jackpot/Sport Toto with the first prize of more than RM 1 000 000. Just don't know how it works. Based on what I know you need to get 6 numbers from 49 number correct. The 6 numbers are then arranged in ascending order, which lessens the number of combination. No repeated numbers which further increases the very slim chance of winning.

Putting if off until later. Given a lot of assignments to do this holiday. Now have to look for 5 journals. Read and give reflections on the 5 journals.

Communion

Just came back from supper with Wen and Ing Khong. It is nice to meet with friends once in a while. When you are moving towards the next phase of life where people are always working, you tend to miss the friendship nutured during the schooling days. No obligation or whatsoever except for the endless assignments.
