Swimming

Went swimming this afternoon and yesterday. Can't remember when I last swam. Maybe last year. Didn't realize that it could be this tiring... Must be getting old.

After that had an hour long bath. Just lie in the bathtub and relax. Enjoying myself. Now feeling very sleepy. Tired from the excercise this afternoon. Hoping that will have a good dream tonite.

Shooting star

Last night I saw a shooting star. Seems bigger and nearer than the rest of the shooting stars that I used to see. I hope that it was a wishing star. But it never hurt to wish. Just not sure what to wish for...

A lot of wishes but have to prioritize. Do I wish for world peace? Love? Health? Wisdom?

But somehow I just wish for the girl of my dream to appear, just like in the fairy tales. I probably watch too many cartoons...

World peace

Tired of the world… Tired of the enmity between individual. Why can’t everyone just learn from the children around us? They fight but they soon forgive and forget. They have the faith that everything will be all right. For adults, experience has taught them to be bitter and unforgiving. This is just a generalization. Not everyone is like that. I just wish that more of them are like children. Not becoming childish but have a belief that everything will be ok.

Beautiful night

It is a beautiful night tonight. The moon shining and a bug halo surrounds it. I can almost see the tree and the rabbit in the moon. Haven't been able to see if for a long time because of the haze. Makes me wish there is someone to share it with me. But not many people appreciate the beauty of the night sky nowadays. Can't see much because of the light polution. Not much stars tonight though , because the moon is too bright.

When I checked the calender, it is the 15th of the 9th month according to the Chinese calender.

Waiting for December when I can see the Geminids meteor shower.

Coolie

Today I am a coolie. Building a badminton court. Really tiring moving the sand and the cement to the site. Damn heavy.. I bag of cement is 50kg. We moved 20 bags. The ratio of cement to sand is 1:5. Not sure it was exactly that though... Then mixing it manually, not using the cement mixer. It's a good thing that a water source is nearby so there was no need to carry the water too. Then the amount of water to add is beyond me. Just add until it looks right. Dont ask me how to know it looks right. Too little and it is just sand and cement, too much water and it will become muddy. Easier said than done.

After mixing it, we have to level the cement. Looks easy to do but believe me, it is not. Not using the thingy with the bubble inside. Just plain straight plank and good old common sense.

Then it rains... and pours... when our court was half done. Nothing to cover it with. So have to wait until tomorrow to see what to do.

Now just recovered from tooth extraction. Quite a painful week for me. Pain for almost two weeks today. Now really grateful cos I can eat solid food again. But it was already too late cos I can enjoy the food during Raya. Went to 5 houses the first day, 4 houses the second and 3 houses the next. Can't really eat much but just want to visit some old friends. Didn't manage to go to Zool's house. Sorry Zool, maybe next year.
